MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AutoZone's (NYSE: AZO) board of
directors, at a regularly scheduled meeting today, announced W. Andrew
McKenna, 54, was appointed to the company's board of directors, increasing the
board from 10 to 11 members. Additionally, Robert Olsen, 48, has rejoined the
company in the newly created position of senior vice president, planning.
McKenna is president of SciQuest.com, a leading web-based interactive
marketplace for scientific products. Prior to that he served in various
senior positions with Home Depot and Deloitte & Touche.
"Andy's vast experience with such a successful do-it-yourself retailer
like Home Depot plus his background in e-commerce will fit in perfectly with
the direction our company is heading," said John C. Adams Jr., AutoZone
chairman and CEO.
Olsen has served in various senior financial and operating positions for
Leslie's Poolmart, AutoZone and PepsiCo. Olsen will oversee the company's
financial planning and research efforts. He will report to Tim Vargo,
president and COO.
